"What are your operating hours?"
We are open seven days a week at 9 a.m. We close at 6 p.m. during the winter and stay open until 7p.m. during the summer. We do honor Christmas and Thanksgiving (we may be pirates, but we're human, too)
"Are you really a pirate?"
Yes. Now, we have that out of the way. Please remember, being a pirate is a state of mind. You can be a pirate, too, but you can't wear a three piece suit unless it includes a cutlass...get it?

"Where do you get all this stuff?"
The wonderful dealers we have do the hard work of finding the treasures we have to sell at Pirate's Plunder. The staff has the pleasure of selling on their behalf.

"You aren't too serious about all this, are you?"
I'm a pirate. Pirates are very selective about being serious. Besides, we like being happy, joyous, and free. After all, we're pirates.
"How many dealers do you have?"
The number varies by time of year. We generally have had between 143 and 157 dealers.
"How long have you been here?"
We started business on April 1st, 2001 and have been lucky enough to be still here today.

"Where did you get the name?"
We're pirates. Some things need to remain a mystery.
"How big is the mall?"
We have two warehouses coupled by a loading dock that make up Pirate's Plunder "An Antique & Collectibles mall". We have approximately 8,500 square feet of sales space.
"What did you folks do before you started Pirate's Plunder?"
We're pirates. Some things need to remain a mystery.......especially that.

"How old are you?"
You do remember that you are talking with pirates, right? Anyway, dirt wasn't first. Water came first and it was a sight to behold. Get it?

"Can I have a discount?"
Some (a few, a limited number, definitely not a lot) prices are negotiable. Generally, if you are looking at a "high ticket" item, your chances are better for the possibility of negotiation. However, remember that you are dealing with pirates who like to have their own way. It is highly advisable to not hurt a pirate's feelings......they tend to retaliate. If you are looking at a book, video tape, or other item priced under $10, remember that you are dealing with cutthroat pirates who sometimes have their own way of answering questions they consider distasteful.

"Why did you pick a pirate theme for your mall?"
We're pirates. It seemed silly for us to set up a mall with another decor like a circus theme or something. Besides, we like pirates. Do you like pirates? (This is where you think very carefully about your answer before you say it)
"Are you folks married to each other?"
Well, first, there are three of us. We're pirates, not swingers...although we do climb ropes and swing from mast to mast. Second, the women here at the mall have far better taste than that. Third, my heart belongs to My Beloved and my ship. Beyond that, remember, you are asking a question to a pirate.

"Why do you greet people when they come in the door?"
We like to size up victims quickly. Okay, I'll be a little serious. We like to greet people to set the stage for your experience at Pirate's Plunder "An Antique & Collectibles Mall". We want you to know that we expect you to simply have a good time without any pressure from us to buy something in our mall. We sell the experience, not just treasure. Lastly, frankly, we like people. We love to have you come into the mall and have a taste of the fun we get to have every day. When we see a smile, a twinkle in an eye, and that look of pleasant surprise...well, it melts a pirate's heart.
